Tasks:

•  Identify and introduce applied technology initiatives into Engineering Design
• Participate in project team meetings at the earliest stage to understand components and technology applied
• Find new supplier in coordination with the commodity buyers
• Initiate Electronic Request For Quotation (Phase I)
• Coordinate all purchasing Request For Quotation requirements
• Identify synergy effects for new programs (component reuse strategy, Industry  Standard Components, existing components etc.)
• Purchasing responsibility during development (Prototype buys) in conjunction with Single Point Buyer strategy
• To lead/support all discussions between potential suppliers and Engineering
• Interface to Delphi Global Supply Management organization
• Ongoing program support during lifetime of program

Qualifications:

• Education: engineering or business degree,
• First experience in  purchasing and /or engineering environment including Supervisor position,
• Computer competency (MS Office),
• Ability to speak, read and write in the English language,
• Proficient in verbal and written communicatio,
• Ability to work and communicate with different cultures,
• Very good negotiation skills,
• Delphi-experience would be preferred
